About The Artist and Author

An expatriate from France, Alain Millon moved to the United States in 1973. After completing his studies in journalism at the University of Houston, Texas, he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he worked as a freelance writer and graphic artist. He eventually received a Masters degree from Ohio State University before moving to Chico, California where he now shares his time between painting, photography, writing and teaching. He spends his summers in Brittany, France.

“The art and writing I produce come from deep within,” Alain said. “I do not follow any guidelines or rules insofar as they may hinder the essence of what IS. It may be raw but it is who I am, one piece at a time. Channeling the intensity within and the perceptions without led me to create what I did whether it is painting, photography or writing. My work is a set of fragments from my heart and soul.”
